BMSCampus.com offers you a
great way to share information, photos, videos and updates with the
BMS community. This help file will guide you through step by step
procedure of how you can add festival content on the website.
If you
do not find answer to your question below, please email us your
query
here.
Note:
Students can add content only for their own college fest.

Before you can add any content for your
festival on the website, a profile of your festival
needs to be made on BMSCampus.com. For e.g.: "Magma
07", "Manzeal 07", etc. Profiles
for most of the festivals would already have been made.
Incase if you do not find your college festival link on
the left hand side below "Browse by festival" -
let us know about your festival
here.
You will be able to add contents
of fest only after your college fest profile is
created by us. Sorry for the inconvenience, but this
ensures that information gets posted in correct festival
and gets stored systematically and becomes easily
accessible to other users. |

How can I add content in the Fest Zone Section?
There are 2 ways you
can add content in the fest zone section:

Through My Zone
-
Through BMS Fest Zone
However, for either
ways, you need to be signed-in.
Procedure 1: Through "My Zone" (This
method will be more convenient)

Sign-in, if you are not
signed-in. As soon as you sign-in, you will be taken to My
Zone.

If you already signed-in, go to
"My Zone" from the link on top right of the homepage.

Find out the "My College" links
box on the left hand side in your My Zone area and click on "Festival"
link.

You will be taken to
Festival page of your college and presented with the links
for adding Festival Content

Click on the appropriate link
for your desired action.
Procedure 2: Through "BMS Fest Zone"

Go to "BMS Fest Zone"
(BMS Festivals).

Click on your college's name
from the list of colleges shown in the left hand side navigation
bar.

Scroll back to the top of the
page; you will find list of options for adding various contents
in the Fest Zone.

Select desired action.

How do I add festival PHOTOS of my college fest?
(This question is in continuation
with the first question. Once you carry out the steps in the answer for
first question, the following steps will follow. So please read the
first question solution.)

Click on "Add Festival Photos"
Through My Zone (procedure
1)
OR
Through "BMS Fest Zone" (procedure 2)

You will be taken to a page where you can upload your photos.

The first field is: "Album Title". This box will show all the
albums created by the students of your college. You can add
photos to existing album to avoid duplicate albums or you can
create a new album for your photos.

Click on " Create New Album" from the drop-down list
for creating a new album and
give a name to your new album.

Write down the description for your album. Avoid use
of " ' " character i.e. avoid using
words like "won't", "you'll", "didn't". Your post might show
error.

Select your college festival
from the drop-down. Note that only festivals from your college
will appear in the list. Selecting the right festival is very
important as it will help others to easily search your post.

Select number of photos you want to add from the drop down. You
will be provided with that many browse options for uploading the
photos. You can give caption for individual photo. Your captions
will give life to your photos. However, if you are feeling too
lazy to write caption, just put " - " in each caption field
otherwise your photos won't be accepted and you may have to do
the hard work of uploading all photos again.

Enter the word verification number in the box. Press "Post"
button and you are done!!!!

How do I add festival VIDEOS of my college fest?
(Read the answers to the above 2
questions first. You will have to upload
your videos on video utility websites such as
YouTube,
Google Video, etc and
then you need to put the video coded generated by these websites on
BMSCampus.com)

Click on "Add Festival Videos"
Through My Zone (read answer
1)
OR
Through "BMS Fest Zone" (read answer 1)

Select your college festival from the drop-down. Note that only
festivals from your college will appear in the list. Selecting
the right festival is very important as it will help others to
easily search your post.

Give your video a title. It is advisable you write your festival
name in the title to ensure that it stands apart from other
posts and users find it easy it identify your post.
For
e.g.: you can write: "Magma 07 - Fashion Show Finals Video"

Next, give description to your video. Avoid use of "
' " character i.e. avoid using
words like "won't", "you'll", "didn't". Your post might show
error.

The next field is for adding the "Video Embedding Code".
These are the codes provided by video utility websites such as
YouTube,
Google Videos,
etc. You can easily upload videos on such websites.
Copy
the video code and paste it in the "Video Embedded
Code" box

Put the number in the word verification. Press "Post" button and
you are done!!!!

Enter the word verification number in the box. Press "Post"
button and everyone will be able to see your video post.
