NMAT
Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies
(NMIMS) conducts its own entrance test called
NMAT (NMIMS Management Aptitude Test) in the month
of December with the interviews being held in the
second week of February.
Selection
Procedure
Stage I:
All eligible candidates are required to appear for
NMAT (NMIMS Management Aptitude Test) to be
conducted over 20 centres across the country.
Stage II:
Those shortlisted and have applied for the
subsequent selection process, will have to appear
for Group Discussion / Personal Interview at select
centres across the country. After the GD / PI round,
the offers are made by NMIMS to successful
candidates. The basis of ranking and final selection
of successful candidates is based on the performance
in NMAT, GD / PI & work experience including
academic performance etc.
Pattern of Admission Test:
This year pattern was disclosed on website and
paper came in line with what was given on website.
Eligibility
Essential Qualification (for all programmes
except MBA – Actuarial Science & MBA –
Pharmaceuticals Management)
10+2+3 degree in any branch of study or equivalent
pattern recognized by the UGC & AIU. Minimum 50%
marks in aggregate at degree level for all
programmes.
MBA – Actuarial Science:- Graduates / Post graduates
in Statistics / Mathematics / Engineering /
Economics. Those appearing for final examination can
apply, if they produce Certificate of Appearance by
1st June and Final Certificate by 31/10/2008.
Graduates/Postgraduates from other disciplines will
be eligible provided they have obtained minimum of
80% in Mathematics in 12th standard.
MBA – Pharmaceuticals Management: - Graduate / Post
graduate in Life Sciences / Bio – medicine /
Chemical Engineering / Pharmacy / Medicine. Post
Graduates in Sociology / Psychology / Anthropology
are also eligible. Those appearing for final
examination can apply, if they produce Certificate
of Appearance by 1st June and Final Certificate by
31/10/2008.
Preferential Qualification:
MBA – Global Business: - Graduates / Post
Graduates in Science / Commerce / Engineering.
Two year work experience also required in all
fields.
