Application Form
The admission procedure to any university
starts by procuring the admission form. The admission form can by easy
downloaded online from the concerned university website. Alternatively,
you can also call or write to the university requesting them to post the
admission form.
You can take out a photocopy of admission form to fill it in rough to
avoid mistakes. You can then copy the details in the main admission
form. Write in your admission form neatly and avoid any kinds of
scribbling.
Application Fee
At the time of applying to university abroad,
you need to pay an application fee of about $50-150. This application
fee goes towards processing of your supporting documents like essays,
statements of purpose, grade transcripts, certificates, etc attached
along with the application form.
The Essay
Essay is a golden chance for you to give the
institute a clear cut idea about yourself. Your essay provides the
selection/admission committee to judge your motives, aptitude and
written communication skills.
In this essay, you can include tell the
university more about why you want to do this particular course and how
doing this course will help to move in the direction of achieving your
goals.
Letters of Recommendation
Letters of Recommendation are references you
provide which reinforces your credentials. These recommendations should
speak volumes about your competence to succeed in academics and career.
Choose people from diverse fields who know you well and includes but not
limited to principal, professor, employer, colleagues, etc to write a
recommendation letter for you.
Resume
Your resume/ summary of your work history is a very useful piece of
document. The admission panel gives a lot of weight to factors like -
your work experience & achievements. Hence make sure to include any
relevant information like your projects or reports published in media,
any special awards you have won for your outstanding performances, etc.
Standardized Test Scores
Make sure you have appeared for the following
requisite tests and have the score sheets for the same.
GMAT
IELTS
TOEFL
Your score is the precursor of your ability to
succeed. Hence work sufficiently hard and get the desired score.
Grade Transcripts
Grade Transcript is a mark sheet which besides
marks gives further details on parameters like grading system, medium of
instruction, number of hours per lecture, etc.
If you are required to submit grade transcript,
remember to approach your college sufficiently in advance and give them
