More about GMAT - CAT.
GMAT
is a computerized examination created and administered by the
Educational Testing Service on behalf of the Graduate Management
Admission Council. It is required for almost all full-time MBA
programmes across the globe. GMAT scores are also taken into
consideration for other business programmes.
There are pre-established specifications for
each computer-based test. Various details of the exam like statistical
information of the questions answered, their difficulty levels, etc are
taken into account for the purpose of calculating the scores.
This makes it possible to compare the scores of
different test-takers although they were presented with different sets
of questions.
More about method of
Computer Adaptive Test (CAT)?
In a computer-adaptive test (CAT),
questions are selected only when each individual takes the test. At the
beginning of each multiple-choice section of the GMAT, you are presented
a question of medium difficulty level. The accuracy of your answers for
each question is used for presenting the next question.
The level of difficulty increases with accuracy
of each answers while difficulty level decreases if your answer is
inaccurate. |
